K2Share Releases SCORM-Compliant Version 2.0 of Preceptor LMS

COLLEGE STATION, Texas, May 2, 2005- K2Share®, LLC announced today the release of Version 2.0 of Preceptor™, K2Share's affordable and customizable Learning Management System (LMS) that delivers web-based training, tracks instructor led classes, and more.
The latest version of this popular LMS includes enhancements for loading and deploying third party SCORM-compliant content, improved interfacing with other SCORM compliant systems, and integration with Business Objects Crystal Reports.
“By making Preceptor SCORM-compliant, we greatly improve the users' experience in linking and loading learning content,” K2ShareTechnology Architect Jonathan Thayer said.
Preceptor is a database driven, web-enabled solution based on an open architecture that allows users to author, deliver, assess, record, and report on their organization's learning.
On May 1, 2005, over 120,000 students were enrolled in courses in Preceptor campuses and since the release of the first version of Preceptor in 2001 over 450,000 students have accessed courses in a Preceptor campus. Course completion rates in Preceptor average at 89 percent.
